As a huge horror/thriller fan, I can’t express how refreshing it is to see female characters who are complete and utter sociopaths when so much of the genre is oversaturated with male characters of this kind. I grew up loving films like American Psycho, The Silence of The Lambs, Seven, etc., Fincher hit the nail on the head when he asked “when was the last time you saw a woman in a film washing blood off in the shower which wasn’t her own?” 

I don’t think there’s any film that has impacted me the way Gone Girl has, even years on. I read the book within a few days - it’s a brilliant story, and I believe there was no one who could have done the film justice other than THE David Fincher. 

And Rosamund Pike... What can you say? She IS Amy Dunne. She totally slayed that performance. For me this is one of most memorable female performances OF ALL TIME. Yes I mean that. I’m still not over her being snubbed at the Oscars.

Fincher is a God.
