I WAS SO GAGGED LIKE?? this healed my inner child who was so obsessed w ariel... halle bailey is the PERFECT ARIEL like she embodied ariel so well but also the chemistry between ariel and eric was so GOOD (they're so stargirl coded and the way they developed their story was so GOOD and the addition of how he guessed her name was kind of everything to me) and the visuals were so lovely but i will say some of the cgi was weird BUT STILL! This movie was insanely good

my three year old self cried watching this AND NOW 14 YEARS LATER MY 17 YEAR OLD SELF IS UGLY CRYING TO THIS. My child self really hated Luna, but tbh when I watch this with a different understanding, I understood each character and their choices. Farel is a whole idiot though, like deadass. Also,,, made english subtitles for this film and gonna force my foreign friends to watch it with me <333
