    Wow, watched this on a recommendation from a friend and Matt Damon is really talented (haha) as Mr. Ripley. Amazing performance. This movie definitely reminds me of The Secret History by Donna Tartt and gets dark very quickly. I love the charming scenes in Italy in the beginning of the film where it seems like the world is full of glittering possibilities, all light and love and laughter, before it turns into something much more sinister.

    Wow this was so, so good. I... was not prepared for the onslaught of emotions this movie brought me. It's very unexpected to portray Olivia's "ED voice" as Matt- she thinks he's haunting her, but really it's not her brother but the side of her that tells her to starve, to gain control, to be perfect, etc.
