I’ve never seen a film better capture the existential pressures and uncertainty inherent to my generation’s collective identity, nor the cumulative beauty borne out of every moment in life, be they fleeting or lasting. A beautiful, heartbreaking, honest, and affirming portrait of modern young adulthood. This is the “Cinema lives!” experience of 2021 that I’ve been yearning for.
