I was not expecting this at all. I wasn’t expecting a raw film with realistic dialogue and interactions. I wasn’t expecting to relate to a child in this way. Whew. This film was great.
William Defoe did an amazing job and has officially made his way to my list of favorites actors.
I would have given 4 stars if Halley wasn’t the single most annoying character in a film ever. I hate seeing adults blatantly be irresponsible, but also appreciate that they showed that and gave some sense as to why Moonie was so stubborn.
