Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday

They sure did treat black people in this film like shit huh

    tw/cw: body horror/blood/gore

  • Bloodsucking Freaks

    Bloodsucking Freaks

I have to say this film would /almost/ be fun, and is somewhat, due to the performances of Seamus O'Brien and Luis De Jesus. It just goes too far into the porn and torturing women just because~~ to let it be all that enjoyable.

    tw/cw: torture/abuse of women
    rape/sexual assault
    so much nudity

  • Angel Has Fallen

    Angel Has Fallen

I barely paid attention to this and still guessed what would happen constantly.

    tw/cw: blood

  • Chocolate

Yeesh. You know this could've been an interesting like... man sees through a woman's eyes and experiences the horrors she goes through and??? idk SOMETHING but then he just got obsessed with her like a freak like smh

    tw/cw: very creepy stalkery behavior

  • All Through the House

    All Through the House

I can handle poorly delivered dialogue, but the transphobic/cissexist ""twist"' was just unnecessary. I get the homage, but in 2015 they should've been aware that it's problematic in a lot of ways despite Sleepaway Camp being iconic and great. Sleepaway is great in spite of it, this film is even worse because of it.

    tw/cw: blood/gore/body horror
    aforementioned transphobia/cissexism

  • Street Trash

    Street Trash

Basically these stars are solely for the technicolor goop gore because there are far grosser, nastier things in this film. Woof.

    tw/cw: blood/gore/body horror
    rape/sexual assault
    misogyny/racism/homophobic slurs
idk there's probably more than I'm forgetting at this point just about everything not great is in it rest assured

  • In the Shadow of the Moon

In the Shadow of the Moon

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Sure did make PoC the bad guys here huh like I know I get they're ACTUALLY not ""bad"" but. Ehhh.

    tw/cw: blood/eye scream
animal death (pigs, sort of on screen, some blood shown)

  • IO

It's not an AWFUL film necessarily but there's just not a whole lot that happens nor did I feel anything much for the characters so eh.

    tw/cw: Nothing rly

  • Replicas

Unfortunately just pretty predictable ultimately, and tbh there's a LOT of poor decisions made. And what a fuckin weird ending that was not remotely satisfying.

    tw/cw: blood/gore/body horror
    child death

  • Lake Placid

    Lake Placid

It was always going to be questionable whether I'd enjoy a movie about a big bad gator when I love them and don't like them being demonized, but this one made it harder by treating the few women characters in a shitty, sexist manner.

Anyway Betty White was right yall should've just left them alone.

    tw/cw: lots of underwater stuff
    incest joke
    fatphobic comments

  • Last Woman on Earth

    Last Woman on Earth

Yikes @ that tagline but you know what that's a good idea of what this film was like AKA all toxic masculinity and sexism.

    tw/cw: sexism/misogyny

  • The Cave

    The Cave

I'm pretty sure the creature in the poster does not at all look like the one in the film, but I can't say for sure because the whole thing is so dark and mostly underwater that GOD knows what was happening during most of it. That being said it is a kind of cool monster design from the little I could see of it. Not even Lena Headey could save this one and Daniel Dae Kim was barely in it so boo.

oh my god that ending. God.

    tw/cw: body horror
    lots of underwater scenes
epilepsy warning possibly??? there's a lot of thrashing with flashlights
