I missed this at the Edinburgh Film Festival last year and was annoyed with myself as it went on to win the Audience Award.
It's sort of a road movie - except set in the New Zealand bush and is streaked with a fantastic black humour. Sam Neill gives a measured performance as a grizzled hunter that slowly allows the audience to warm to him.
Also there is a great cameo from Rhys Darby from Flight of the Conchords as Psycho Sam playing a lunatic conspiracy theory nutjob. Shame the USA just made someone with the same mentality president.
