Simply put, it’s one of the greatest movies ever made. It’s a shame that The King’s Speech beat both this and Inception for Best Picture; I cant imagine very many people like that mediocre movie more than both Inception and The Social Network, two films that display such mastery of craft and innovation that it’s hard to imagine a perspective where The King’s Speech surpasses them.
I love everything about The Social Network so much. It’s both calming and menacing at the same time (the score from Reznor and Ross is a perfect representation of this feeling) and Jesse Eisenberg interacting with Andrew Garfield is some of the most fascinating acting in ways that are subtle yet still emotion filled, all of it relating back to the core of a friendship.
