the problem with this film is that the source material was so vast. it had so many little moments that meant a lot and really built up to the ending. with this movie i felt those moments got lost so everything felt like it meant a little less. i didn't have the same attachments i had to the characters as i did in the books because of this. they tried to keep everything when they should have cut things for the sake of clarity and to give those moments that needed it the importance they deserve. and the way they edited the timelines together really did not do the story any favors. yeah, i feel let down by this.
