dang i'm rating it four stars because i really liked that ending. something tells me the nihilism in this film is perfect for our times, pretty sure i spotted a trump dummy. okay i think the film wouldn't have been the same without joaquin phoenix, it takes a marvelous actor to pull off the joker. i believe the backstory is a bit strange, that sure needs some discussion, but all in all i think it's probably a tiny bit controversial yet worth watching, i just wished it was a bit more bold. cinematography, camera work and soundtrack snap!
