this was quite sweet but nothing amazing
a painfully accurate portrait of a mentally ill man, who lives life with apathy and fails to connect with the ones around him.
we watch him meticulously meet people from his past, but his intentions are unclear: does he want to say goodbye or does he hope someone can convince him of not doing what he’s inevitably going to? in these interactions the behaviour people have around depressed people is always the same, some distant pity and a wish of getting away from them.
the great dialogues and soundtrack by eric satie enrich the story and support those feelings of hopelessness.
