James Atkinson’s review published on Letterboxd:
It seems people either love or hate this one, I definitely sit in the former category being the A24 fanboy that I am.
Midsommar is such a grim story that mixes in themes of grief and loss with a coming of age tale by the way of Wicker Man. I'm a sucker for a good cult movie and this ticks all the boxes; the paranoia, the rituals, the community that looks so happy on the outside but is hiding dark secrets and the fucked up beliefs.
