James Atkinson’s review published on Letterboxd:
I respect the massive shift in tone here, making it a more of a raunchy horror/comedy makes it feel like you are watching something new even though it hits the same beats and even repeats some scenes.
The gore and violence are much more in your face this time around (most of the originals violence is suggested), they are obviously having fun with all the practical effects they can get their hands on and the performances match the over the top aestheic of the film.
An all round fun time and great sequel that gives us this classic moment:
"You have one choice, boy: sex or the saw. Sex is, well... nobody knows. But the saw... the saw is family.
