Alan Newnham’s review published on Letterboxd:
The Last Waltz captures one of the most important concerts in American music, but it's more than that - it captures a moment and place in music. A Variety of musicians appear as support, though their capacity seems much more like friends. Seeing the stage filled by The Band, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Eric Clapton, Neil Diamond, Ringo Starr, and others at the end is quite incredible.
Even though The Last Waltz has some fairly obvious background conflicts and at times misrepresents The Band as led by Robertson by having a heavy focus on him, it's still a staple of recorded concerts.
