Paul Elliott’s review published on Letterboxd:
Latvian animation artist Gints Zilbalodis was only seventeen years old when he created this seven-minute short. It sees him taking advantage of the knowledge of cats being reluctant, often frighten by water - principally because felines pride themselves in their agility, and their movements in water become somewhat listless, which they find is an unnatural state. The story follows a cat awakening and finding themselves in an ocean and needing to learn to adjust very quickly to survive. The animation is the most primitive amongst his increasing filmography, but his experimentation with lighting ensures this was a stepping stone in the development of his style.
