Paul Elliott’s review published on Letterboxd:
This seminal monster movie still manages to induce speechless admiration; it's a special effects marvel. Kong was constructed from a combination of oversize body parts, small models and stop-motion animation, and the special effects team endeavour on making Kong a performer, moving him fluidly and deliberately, contingent upon his frame of mind. It's also remarkable for being the first film to use an all-original score, courtesy of Max Steiner. This delightful classic continues to be captivating.
