Woman at War

Woman at War ★★★★½

Woman at War masterly deals with the tragic devastation of the planet in a surprisingly absurdist and humorous manner. Written, produced and directed by Icelander Benedikt Erlingsson, there’s an enormous amount of passion and understanding bestowed at the heart of this provocative narrative and the cast hold dominion on the screen for the duration of this fraught and intentionally bizarre movie; there's also some venturesome use of on-screen musicians providing the musical score.
