  stop saying this is a feminist piece of mexican cinema because it’s not. it was clearly written by a man and it has high pedophilic imagery trying to mask itself as "female empowerment".. it makes me so angry because this could’ve been SO GOOD if it was written and directed by a woman

  what was the point of this movie besides making me uncomfortable at the racist jokes & ties to orientalism and its take on japan and its people? oh! and also the way this was so weird w the fact that scarjo was 17 when this was made and bill was like 50 or something …. the only really good things about this were the cinematography (as expected from a sofia coppola film), the directing & soundtrack
