An alright movie, but nowhere near as fun or interesting as it should have been. Some great moments of laughter and a few cool action scenes are somewhat overshadowed by a big sense of aimlessness in the first half and a really predictable plot. I'd be surprised if anyone was surprised by the 2nd act twist.
I really like this movie's place in the universe as a whole though, and as I've said before the funny bits are actually funny. Plus Gyllenhaal is a lot of fun. But, like I say with a lot of these Marvel films, it's very safe. The first one was a lot better, both plot/structure wise and it was just a better script.
