Put on a movie to get me to stop talking about movies.
Rewatched this weekend and it was even better than I remember. Everyone brings their A game. No complaints, flawless filmmaking, acting, choreography, stunt work, and the bliss of seeing actual locations, and the use of lighting to hide bad CGI instead of boasting it.
Some banger lines:
“It’s quite cool”
“Fly you fools”
“I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.”
“Nobody tosses a dwarf”
Alright then, keep your secrets”
The list goes on. Favorite books, favorite movies.
Most of my issues are with narrative and plot holes.
- Defoe may be better in this one than in Spider-man (2002). Probably because he brings a level of brutality rarely felt in marvel, though often seen, and a desire to do harm for no reason other than his own insanity. Loved him.
- The three Peters works on a lot of levels. Mostly when any of the three get to act. When it’s CGI nonsense, like a lot…
