OK, I loved this. And I feel very vindicated because I feel like I’m the only person on the planet who got really excited about this movie from the trailer (people were really hating on the trailer!). For me, it absolutely delivered. I thought that Chris Evans was a surprisingly good actor, adding a lot of depth to the role. It had just the right mix of humor and action. It looked fantastic. The love story wasn’t too over-the-top, and I thought it worked. Tommy Lee Jones is perfecting cantankerous-yet-lovable. It was long, but the perfect length for me - I didn’t find myself wondering when the heck it would be over (except towards the end, when I had to pee worse than I ever have in my entire life but refused to leave the theatre before the end), nor did I find myself surprised when the server came to deliver the check. And it made me excited for The Avengers.
