I didn't really realize how much people hated this film. I don't quite know what it is about it but I loved it after re-watching it 7 years later. I think I just love origin stories, Superman/Clark Kent in general, and a romance that I can buy into (Amy Adams definitely helps). I think all these things distract me from all the bad film making elements of the film. I guess it just all worked for me personally.
