“Who are we if we can’t protect them?”
– Emily Blunt to her husband about her children who have been missing for hours yet neither of them seem to really be worried about it?? Or eager to find them??
And then when they’re like “oh shit the kids are missing” they STILL sit and chat for a few minutes??? The third act was weak and that whole whiteboard nonsense made me laugh, although I’m not sure how else they could give context so I guess the whiteboard had to do. I didn’t like the ending as a whole but I really liked the last shot with the gun.
I will say I am really glad I saw this in theaters. Super fun
Also never in my life at the movies have I internally yelled “shut the fuck up” and “oh you fucking idiot” at children and infant characters.
It seemed like a lot of the movie was just the monsters going up and down stairs.
