    The Age of Innocence

This movie felt like slowly putting on the most beautiful silk glove in the world. That last scene broke my heart. A lush score that I, at the beginning of the film, swore *must* be the work of a classical composer. But it was the original score!

Would like to protect the child actor with my life. Very heartwarming! I think I am a sucker for the crotchety old man and the annoying little kid who he grows to love dynamic. The movie Up. And other examples I can’t think of

I truly believe this movie to be a work of genius. If you haven’t seen it in awhile, I really recommend a rewatch.

Saw this in the summer for the first time. Great movie. Love a plot fueled by paranoia. AMAZING music! Very piano heavy and almost nothing else. Also: an ending that sits with you.

What a beautiful movie. Really wish I had seen this one in theaters. Don’t particularly feel one way or the other toward the film’s “ultimate message.” Maybe on the second watch I will. I was just so blown away by how it looked, the way it was paced, the relationship between brad and his dad. Also this movie got me thinking a lot about the certain risks composers can take when they’re doing a sci-fi score. Other composer note: Like…

Will always love Elf. Very weird imagining this man is in the Force Majeure remake though
