    out of the blue today, my mom asks me "anyway how did Emma die?" she had been racking her brain for days trying to piece together all the context clues she remembered, but because she doesn't speak English fluently, it stayed on her mind longer that she would like to admit, especially because she told me immediately after that she didn't like the movie and that she was upset by the ending. after i explained it to her, she told me "oh and the first guy's death was kind of funny too, i guess". we saw this together two weeks ago.
