STOP!! BEFORE YOU DROP OUT OF THIS REVIEW BEAR UP WITH ME A LITTLE.
This is not a MID movie. I know it has 3.1 and I know the trailer makes it look pretty standard... But... It's actually a clever, really well made action packed detective mystery thriller, with WERNER HERZOG as the villain, Tom Cruise playing an absolute badass, a plot that really feels like it could be a western (a drifter ex cop just goes around America and it shows up if duty or the kindness in him calls, also it ends on a standdown), smart twists that they are not anything extraordinary but I didn't fully see coming and they were very well done, nicely shot and well choreographed action, and a very good direction and surprisingly even cinematography. This was fully fun and satisfying for a 2AM in the morning Saturday watch. And I really suggest you to watch it since it's really underrated. Possibly watch it in the exact same conditions as me. Makes the watch better.
