I think this is a big upgrade over Baker's first film (which I really enjoyed), it feels so authentic. That's something I really like about Baker, his films feel real, like they're about actual people. This excels at that, character wise, setting wise, it gives off a familiar feeling. The film is full of heart, it's sweet, the childhood innocence plays a big part, as if it's there to subconsciously distract you from the characters' situations. It's sweet, it's sad and it's a really enjoyable movie to watch. The ending is, well, it's not the best but it's not the worst. It just sticks out because of the obvious change in Picture, other than that it's kind of nice. This is good, check it out if you haven't, it's on Amazon Prime video here in the US.
