I wasn’t in the mood the first time I tried watching this, so now I decided to give it another chance. And I am SO glad that I did.
It’s simply phenomenal. All the way through.
The story is so affecting, so compelling, and so endlessly heartbreaking, it’s probably the best portrayal of grief, loss, and depression all rolled into one I’ve seen in a movie this decade.
And yes, Casey Affleck gives one of the most profound performances of the decade as well. My GOD, he is SO GOOD IN THIS MOVIE!
