John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum

John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum ★★★★

John Wick Chapter 3 expands the world even further and leans even more towards fantasy. There seem to be more killers in New York then regular people. The story also starts to become a bit convoluted and far-fetched here. But in all honesty, it doesn’t bother me much. Because the cast is terrific, the cinematography and lighting is absolutely fantastic and the action is some of the best in the series yet. The sound design is also a big part of why this movie works so well. Ever shot and every punch hits really hard here and I love it!

This is just 131 minutes of non-stop action entertainment. It almost becomes a bit too much at the end running the risk of being repetitive and numbing the audience. But at the end of the day, there is just too much love, skill and sheer craftsmanship involved in creating every single action set-piece for that ever to truly be a serious issue. It is really impressive to me how this series held a pretty high standard for so long. I’m going into Chapter 4 tonight with some high expectations.
