    ★★½

Not the unwatchable mess I had heard it was. Although, I did watch this over the course of 3 nights because I kept falling asleep... so... not good. Made me want to read Dune before the new adaptation comes out though it feels like difficult source material to adapt for an audience who has no knowledge of the novel.

A solid noir elevated to greatness by inspired editing choices. I'll definitely be watching this one again at some point.

Instead of writing anything here I'm just going to scream while I writhe on the floor for awhile.

I loved this! There aren't enough puppetry based films being made these days let alone ones as cool as this.

  • His & Herzog

This concept would have maybe been funny as a 30 second clip. As is (and I rarely feel this way about short films) it really overstays its welcome

Some very strange stuff here. The tone fluctuates in a wild way towards the end but it really worked for me!

Watched the Synapse Films restoration on 4K UHD Blu-ray. Looks Fantastic! I've loved this film for a long time but versions I have seen have always been pretty low quality (both times it looked like it had been copied from a VHS tape) Definitely worth watching in high def. One of the best looking horror films ever made.

I love the 70's gialloish soundtrack moments.... but ultimately this movie was very middle of the road for me.
