  The reputation of this precedes it, but dang, I had such a great time watching it. Nostalgic for a period that isn't my own, and probably didn't even exist in this way for those who lived through this. Left me with the same sense of longing for imagined past as things like Stranger Things or That 70s Show, which, speaking of, I desperately feel like re-watching now.

  I bought this in the Criterion sale after seeing it in theatres three years ago, drank three glasses of red wine, and kept telling my cats very seriously that they needed to watch it with me because it's quote, their version of a good for her movie.

  Anyway, I love this movie so much. I am so grateful to my dear friend Paul who recommended it those years ago for his birthday.
