Freyr’s review published on Letterboxd:
Night #5 of Hooptober IX.
I did my damnedest to remain as in the dark as possible about this movie, and I suggest everyone do the same. But the increasing number of rave reviews that drifted through my feed had my anticipation sky high, and I'm super happy that it was up to the challenge.
Incredibly fun film, tonally haphazard but always effective, with fantastic performances across the board, top notch effects, and an excellent score full of unsettling wails and bone rattling bass. See it in theaters if at all possible, this is easily one of my favorite films this year.
