Freyr’s review published on Letterboxd:
Watched during my Summer of J-Horror.
Loved the surreal and experimental elements of this, the stellar performances, and the often uneasiness of the score. It's thought provoking and largely captivating, but also lacked a bit of something to really make me love it. It felt like it at times teetered a bit too far between heavy handedness and obscurity. Maybe another watch someday would sway me; but for now at least I am interested in checking out more of the director's work.
And so ends my summer of J-Horror. It was a lot of fun, and I came across some unexpected gems. I'll have to do it again sometime haha.
