Don't be ridiculous.
It's an easy watch but it gets caught up in trying to do too much at once. A lot felt like padding as multiple threads are picked up and dropped as we went. It felt long when it could have been a bit more of a spritely mystery romp movie thing had it been more focused.
Millie Bobby Brown does well with the script and utilises a natural energetic charm which Stranger Things hasn't given her the chance to flex. Plus she has a perfectly capable supporting cast, not least Helena Bonham Carter, Henry Cavill and Adeel Akhtar (Wilson Wilson) as Lestrade!
Easily one of the more enjoyable of Netflix's extremely unreliable film productions.
