Bob K’s review published on Letterboxd:
A big crazy mess, but full of colorful human foibles and empathy. Feels like the most DC DC-movie since Christopher Reeve was making them. It gets there through some major (and Major) shortcuts & back justification, but even that felt proper for the 80s comic vibe. Most fun were the bad guys, which for good or ill is something I would almost never say about an MCU movie. Credit for that goes to Pedro Pascal & Kristin Wiig, who play their parts broadly but are on the right level for the movie.
Another forward step in the DCU very gradually finding itself and becoming its own thing.
