Man if the energy of the first half stayed through to the end this would’ve been a classic. Unfortunately, the third act just deflated the movie out of its iron and fire. Seriously, what happened? Was the budget cut so the choreographer and production designer leave the project half way through? Hope we’ll see changes in the sequel, if that’s really coming out

Finally got around to watch this and holy shit it rocks! So unapologetically 2000s and totally chaotic. There’s so much going on here, it can be a cute romance just as well as being unruly gay, and it’s a horror, and a comedy! This movie has a scene with I Wanna Love You playing in the background while still manages to be spooky. Plus some seriously impressive photography going on here. Maybe I’m calling it either late or early but Karyn Kusama is pleb filter. It takes a genius to make something of this caliber works so flawlessly.

Now I realize Ryunosuke is perhaps one of the greatest cinematic villains I’ve ever seen. Not necessarily evil but rather amoral, not unpredictable yet still appalling, he’s the grim reaper, an utter merciless entity who grants demise upon those who wish it. He does not kill out of enjoyment but violence and death certainly fuel him. It’s important to note that he’s never the one to make the first move. The old man prayed for his own end, Bunnojo launched…

Had a rough start but this ends up really fun. Still looks kinda ugly and some cringe dialogue here and there, but lots of improvements from the last two movies. There’s much more weight to every character and the stakes at hand. The multi-verse plot isn’t a disaster as I expected, and these three Spider-Man together is actually quite adorable. Willem Dafoe is a beast no matter where he goes and I appreciate that the movie gives him enough space to show it. Let’s say things could’ve gone terribly wrong and I’m glad it didn’t.
