Hannah’s review published on Letterboxd:
I loved the dew fairies, evolution, and soundtrack sequences. Also the underwater part of The Nutcracker sequence. It generally worked best for me when it was being suggestive rather than directly telling a story. This was such an interesting mix of Christian and Pagan stories/themes. It was gorgeous, creative, rich, and artful, from a time before Disney was just anxiously trying to build and maintain its monopoly. And it’s so edgy - there are shameless displays of drunkenness, boobies, death, and evolution!
