    Superintelligence

    ★★★

Melissa McCarthy and Bobby Cannavale have INCREDIBLE chemistry in this movie and they really make a lot of it work. Unfortunately the whole plot with the Superintelligence is fairly dull. There are some intriguing moments and some flashes of originality but for the most part it feels a bit been there done that. The RomCom elements work way better than the lite Sci-Fi stuff. There are quite a few genuinely hilarious moments, and again, McCarthy and Cannavale absolutely shine, but she's had much funnier movies. It's really just the overarching story that held this one back. It's still enjoyable enough though, especially for a streaming movie.

    ★★★

The film can drag at times, mostly at the start, and some of the performances aren't exactly the best. But, for the most, Unhinged is a great little thriller that really goes for it. Russel Crowe is really going all out to inject his character with some real crazy menace and it works. There's also a handful of really shocking moments, including a truly killer final line. If only character's weren't continuously making really frustrating choices, more so than I usually generously allow for movies of this sort, this one would really shine.

Yes, I can be overly optimistic when I watch movies, but you know what? Who cares. Life’s too short, so when a X-Men movie comes along that really hits the buttons I wanted pressed, then I’m…

Easily the best of the Iron Man movies. From the comedy to the story to the action, this one nails it all. It's also a brilliant continuation of Tony's character arc in the MCU.
