if you only knew how little I know about the things that matter
cringe, cheesy, and melodramatic coming of age film—but i must note that this is directed by john hughes's what do i expect; so basically, i had almost the same thoughts and feelings when i watched ferris bueller's day off. good and relatable themes, however i just hoped that they took these subject matters more seriously and more poignantly. perhaps the script or performance could have been improved more. i also hated the way it ended. i even thought that brian is the most realistic and has the best arc among them. moreover, don't get me started as well with those questionable undertones throughout the film.
