Some women just want to watch the party streamers burn.

In DAISIES Marie and Marie gleefully eat drink flirt destroy eat destroy and destroy in the most anarchic punk rock film I've ever seen, almost a decade before the Sex Pistols even formed.

Imagine the manic comedic energy of The Beatles in A HARD DAY'S NIGHT or a live action version of a MONTY PYTHON animation with even more experimental creativity.

    I feel like I could have a decades long…

Andrei Tarkovsky is the Terrence Malick of abandoned buildings.

Tarkovsky and Malick are both telling stories of the struggle between human nature searching for God's grace and use poetry rather than natural dialogue to speak through the characters.

But while Malick will point the camera at a field of wheat or trees swaying in the wind with birds soaring in the heavens, Tarkovsky is pointing at the the industrial waste and broken shelters man has left behind to soak in the mud.

    Both are beautiful.

    I Care a Lot

    ★½

Marla Grayson (Rosamund Pike) likes three things: making out with Fran (Eliza Gonzalez), sucking on a vape pen, and robbing innocent senior citizens of their free will and life savings.

That sounds really fun, but this lacks the drama of GONE GIRL and the fun of BABY DRIVER so the thrill is gone because the characters are cold and calculating without being interesting or alluring. Nobody wins.
