I appreciate the overwhelming style and originality when it comes to a film like Everything Everywhere All at Once. A beautiful, creative, weird work of art that is unlike anything else.
The action is incredibly creative and the use of different objects in the weapons just helps to add more variety. The costume design was great especially for Joys character which was excellent.
For me at least it doesn’t feel like it did a good job at setting up the rules and stakes of the multiverse and it felt like the concept never reached its full potential. Additionally the weirdness and humour didn’t always work for me 1/3 of the time.
I have my issues but this film is so audacious and bold that I can’t help but appreciate it a lot even if I didn’t love it.
