I went twice to the theatres to see Mamma Mia in 2008 because one wasn’t just enough. By that you can see how much I’m connected to the story and the cast and how I grew up with them. And now 10 years later I can’t believe I just saw Mammia Mia 2!! I have so much to say that I don’t even know what to say.
The first one will always be “the one” but this film was way more emotional and funny than the first one. Lily James singing Mamma Mia? Sign me up! Dancing Queen was as good as the first one and Harry and Bill pretending they were Jake and Rose? ICONIC! You should’ve seen everyone laughing their asses off. Cher singing Fernando??? My wig literally flew across the theatre!!!!!! Super Trouper was pretty amazing as well since the whole cast got together. The soundtrack was literally as good as the first one.
I bursted into tears during the last scene I knew it’d be emotional but I wasn’t ready at all.. I could hear some people crying like me. In one of the interviews Lily said when you’re watching it you feel like you’re there and it’s completely true I forgot about my life for 2 hours. To finish my review I have to talk about these guys: young Sam Carmichael, young Bill Anderson and young Harry Bright? I think it’s safe to say they have my whole heart forever!!!!!!
