Loved the atmosphere, but in terms of the story, I think there had to be a better way to do this. I really enjoy the reasons behind the structure of the film and the villains are pretty interesting (in a knock-off Black Lodge kinda way), but honestly I had a better time reading about them than I did seeing them unfold.

In a year where I've done a good deal of reading, i'm thinking of ending things in particular stood out to me - having picked it up based on hearing about this adaptation being made. I read the whole thing in a day and distinctly remember the feeling of dread building further and further as it grew later and the story grew stranger and more unsettling.
