Hayden Welch’s review published on Letterboxd:
“Just look like we are a married couple, spanning time!”
At first glance Buffalo ‘66 is arrogant trite, but there’s this other layer to the film that is more pathetic and sympathetic, a nearly perfect character study. Billy Brown is a character whose intentions and impressions are so dynamic I still am not sure how to feel about him.
Presentation over plot, a stylish unique experience that feels incredibly personal and fresh effortlessly.
Quotable and one of a kind words just flow out of Vincent Gallo in way that makes you nearly forgot of the existence of a script.
Negligence, regret, and love. A deeply universal and personal experience, raw and innovative.
