The best Stephen King adaptation of 2019. It Chapter 2 was corny as fuck and Doctor Sleep was uneventful and lackluster. This film builds tension and the little girl is extremely creepy. Far superior to the original.
One of the greatest dramas that I have ever witnessed on the big screen. The flashbacks convey the emotional stress that the father is enduring. He’s constantly reminiscing about happier times with his son and wondering at what point he went down a broken path. It’s as if Timothée Chalamet wasn’t even acting. It’s as if he became Nic Sheff. A truly groundbreaking performance. He certainly deserves an award for his part. And Steve Carrell is a multitalented actor that perfectly portrayed a father struggling to aid and influence his son to choose sobriety over a life of gradual decay. My favorite film of 2018.
