Johnson clearly paid attention when watching the Lucas films; when he wants to, he cross-cuts the fuck out of this. A fucking miracle, the greatest franchise film of its decade, and when you watch it a couple of days after Revenge Of The Sith, the greatest closing shot in Star Wars. As meaningless (or reductive) as the films surrounding it are, at least that shot exists.
