Some cheese, asshole?
There were some aspects of this film that I did like, but it just felt so long. I liked the screenplay until the last 20 or 30 mins. I can see it possibly winning best original screenplay, though. This film was one tragic event after another, but I didn't feel emotional until Michelle Williams performance in the ending. I can see why she got an Oscar nomination for this performance. It was great. Whereas, I felt like Casey Affleck was just playing himself. He did a good job, but nothing that really impressed me. Same with Lucas Hedges. He did a good job, but there was one scene where he was crying that I thought wasn't very good acting.
And I can't believe Miss Rhode Island from Miss Congeniality was in this movie! And Matthew Broderick!
