I don’t remember what outlet/critic called this “High-class horror porn” but they’re correct. 
Fear is too reliant on the gore and lost in the plot. 
Aspects of national terrorism and nazism only throws the audience into a spiral of confusion. 
Guadagnino says this isn’t a remake and more of a homage(of the sorts) so it almost feels wrong to even call this Suspiria. Clearly not a remake and more of a very loose adaptation.
