"Consuming" is probably the most suitable word that I can use to describe this one.. even though everything is kind of lingering beneath the general foulness, it addresses and challenges complex themes about interconnected gender and power relations and perceptions, albeit the portrayals can also surely been seen as redundant and problematic. It leaves the viewer in a lonely role; it has the tone like one should root for someone here, but there's absolutely no one to clearly root for.…
Even though the characters and the attempts at philosophical depth felt a bit lackluster at times, it's really stunning and technically brilliant what was done here with a single location and long takes. Very entertaining one with a reasonable runtime!
p.s. I'm definitely open for suggestions of more single location filmmaking that's even close to this level of interesting utilization!
