The Devil All the Time

The Devil All the Time ★½

What a thoroughly frustrating drag this was. I usually have a soft spot for these kinds of milieus, and the Southern Gothic charm this could've so easily had, but instead it was mostly just directionless and exploitative misery porn.

Also loathed how the narration was so unnecessarily adamant about explaining every single action, no matter how obvious. Keough's and maybe Pattinson's characters seemed pretty interesting in the middle of all the tedium - it feels kind of fitting that they, of all the characters here, weren't given enough focus.
